Care checklist
Your simple water system care checklist
Keep your water at its best with these four habits. It only takes a few minutes a month.
Check your salt every 4–8 weeks
Keep the brine tank at least one-third full of clean pellet salt. Most households refill every month or two.
Use the right salt
Clean sodium-chloride pellets or crystals. Skip rock salt and additives unless we recommend them (details below).
Replace RO filters yearly
Your under-sink drinking-water filters should be changed about once a year to keep water fresh and flowing.

Two easy options: let us handle it, or grab a bag yourself. Here's exactly what to get.

RO filters
Annual RO filter replacement
Your reverse-osmosis drinking-water filters should be changed about once a year. Fresh filters keep your water clean, great-tasting, and flowing at full pressure. On a maintenance plan, we take care of this for you automatically.
Signs it's time to replace
- It's been about 12 months since your last change
- Water flows more slowly from the RO faucet
- The taste isn't as crisp as it used to be
- Your system or plan reminder tells you it's due

Support
Need help with your system?
Most issues are quick fixes. Here are the common ones — a photo or short video is the fastest way for us to help.
Water doesn't feel soft
Check the salt level first — a low or bridged tank is the usual cause. Still hard? Text us a photo of the tank and the valve display.
No water (or slow) from the RO faucet
It's usually a filter due for replacement or a closed supply valve. Send a photo of your under-sink unit and we'll pinpoint it.
A leak or an error light
Turn off the supply valve if there's active leaking, then text or call us right away with a photo or short video.

FAQs
Common questions
How often do I need to add salt?
Most households add a bag every 4–8 weeks. Check the brine tank monthly and keep it at least one-third full. Larger homes or harder water use more.
What kind of salt should I use?
Clean sodium-chloride pellets like Diamond Crystal Bright & Soft or Morton Clean & Protect. Avoid rock salt and salt with additives unless we specifically recommended it.
How do I know when to replace my RO filters?
About once a year, or sooner if you notice slower flow or a change in taste. Text us a photo of your system and we'll send the exact replacements.
My water doesn't feel soft anymore — what do I do?
Start with the salt: a low tank or a salt “bridge” (a hard crust above an empty space) is the most common cause. If the tank looks fine, text us and we'll walk through the valve settings.
There's no water coming from my RO faucet — help?
It's often a filter that's overdue or a supply valve that got bumped closed. Check the valve under the sink, then send us a photo if it's still not flowing.
Is my system under warranty?
Your equipment is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and our installation work is backed by Bright Home Water. Text or call us and we'll confirm your coverage.
Do you offer a maintenance plan?
Yes. We can handle your salt and annual RO filter changes for you so you never have to think about it. Reach out and we'll set it up.
How does the referral program work?
Refer a neighbor using the form on this page. When they get a system installed, they get $100 off and you get $100 as a thank-you.
How do I reach support?
