Owner & Founder, Bright Home Water

Bright Home Water is a family-owned and operated business serving the Austin area, and it started with a simple passion: helping people live healthier, better day-to-day lives through something we all depend on — clean water. The more I learned about what's actually in Texas tap water, the more I realized how much it affects the little moments that add up to daily life. That belief is what Bright Home Water is built on.

Here in Austin, our water comes with its own challenges — elevated pH, chloramine, and the byproducts of municipal treatment. We bring real water quality expertise to every home we visit, so you know exactly what's in your water and what your best options are. No guesswork, no confusion.

Most of all, we do business honestly — the way we'd want it done for our own family. No pushy sales tactics, no pressure, no upselling. Just clear answers, fair recommendations, and fast, clean installs done right the first time. When you invite Bright Home Water into your home, you're not just a customer. You're a neighbor.

What we do

We do one thing —
water for Austin families.

Whole-home filtration systems that protect every tap. Water softeners built for Austin's hard water. Drinking water and reverse osmosis systems for the cleanest, best-tasting water where it matters most.

And because no two homes are alike, we don't do one-size-fits-all. We design a custom solution around your home, your water, and your family — and give you a straight, itemized quote from a free consultation.

How we run

TX Licensed Plumber

Every system we install is put in by a state-licensed plumber. No handymen, no subs, no shortcuts.

Equipment Warranty

The water treatment equipment we install is covered by the manufacturer's warranty on parts and performance.

NSF-Certified Equipment

We only install systems with NSF/ANSI certifications. The spec sheets are on the product pages — read them yourself.

Local, Not a Franchise

We're not a Culligan or Kinetico dealer. We're your neighbors. Every decision is made here, not at a corporate office.

Why we exist

Greater Austin has specific water problems that most homeowners don't know about until they see the damage.

Austin water is hard

Most of Greater Austin sits between 150–220 mg/L hardness — 9 to 13 grains per gallon. That's hard enough to shorten the life of your water heater, dishwasher, and washing machine, and leave mineral deposits on every surface the water touches.

Chloramines don't filter like chlorine

Austin Water switched to chloramine disinfection years ago. Chloramines are harder to remove than free chlorine — pitcher filters and fridge filters barely touch them. A properly spec'd whole-home carbon system removes them completely.

PFAS is a real concern here

The Colorado River basin has documented PFAS sources from upstream industrial and military activity. Austin Water detects PFAS at or near reporting thresholds. Reverse osmosis is the most effective residential solution.

Franchise pricing doesn't add up

National brands charge thousands more for systems that cost a fraction of that to manufacture. Most of that margin goes to franchise fees, dealer markups, and salespeople on commission. We cut all of that out.
